A Preview of 2021's Greatest Cricket Matchups

2021 looks to be a great year for cricket and international cricket in particular. The teams of the International Cricket Councill (ICC) will be touring various countries and playing in several test matches and one-day international games. While there's no Cricket World Cup this year, the Asia Cup, T20 World Cup, T10 World Cup and other events will all be taking place, giving cricket fans plenty to get excited about. Provided there are no further restrictions on international travel, all of these events are expected to go ahead as planned. However, it's still unclear whether fans will be allowed to watch many of these events in person yet.

For most of these events and the various tours of the ICC T20, Aussie gambling sites like these will be offering odds. Most major bookmakers offer betting markets including match betting, completed match, top bowler, tops batsman and innings runs. With so many games to play on this upcoming calendar, there should be plenty of betting options for cricket fans to have a punt on.

Big Bash League Final

The 2020-21 Big Bash League got underway in December 2020 and is scheduled to finish in February 2021. The final match of the league is currently expected to take place on Saturday, February the 6th although the teams have yet to be decided. Several teams still need to finish their playoff matches before you know who will be entering the final, but it's bound to be an excellent game. The last Big Bash League Final took place between the Sydney Sixers and the Melbourne Stars and saw the Sixers win by nineteen runs at Sydney Cricket Ground.

Australia Tour of New Zealand

Between February and March 2021, the Australian Men's Cricket team will be touring New Zealand to play five T20 games. The first of these will take place on Monday, February the 22nd and the final game will take place on Sunday, March the 7th. Australia is currently ranked second in the overall ICC rankings and is considered one of the favourites to win the competition. Meanwhile, New Zealand is ranked 6th. No one expects New Zealand to be a pushover on home soil although Australia certainly has the talent to beat them. Whatever the outcome, these five games are sure to be a treat for fans of exciting cricket. These two sides always manage to put on a great show, and there should be plenty of action.

Asia Cup Final

The Asia Cup may not be as big as the World Cup, but it still offers some massive cricket games and lots of excitement. The tournament starts in June 2021 in Sri Lanka and consists of twelve one day internationals before a final match between the two best teams of the tournament. The victorious team is crowned as the Asia Cup Champions. The previous two competitions were both won by India, who should have a great chance to lift the trophy again this year. The full schedule of this competition isn't known yet but will likely be announced closer to the event.

T20 Final

The T20 Final will take place after each of the teams in the T20 World Cup have completed their tours and the points have been tallied. The two top teams will then face each other in October 2021 for the winner to be decided. Last T20 World Cup took place in 2016 and was also hosted in India. That tournament was won by the West Indies, who are so far the most successful team in the competition, having won twice.
